This manufacturing and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) sector showcase aims to change perceptions and raise awareness of the wide variety of roles available in modern manufacturing, highlighting the many opportunities and career paths for young people. Manufacturers and engineering firms are invited to join members of Leeds Manufacturing Alliance at this event and help promote the sector to the next generation of young people, their teachers and parents.

Britain’s manufacturers will throw the spotlight on the sector and the careers it offers on Thursday 7/7/22 when they throw open their doors to schools, colleges and local communities across the whole of the UK. The inaugural National Manufacturing Day, organised by employers' organisation Make UK, will give local communities the chance to see first-hand the potential careers and jobs on offer and the diverse roles available in manufacturing.
