This festival will enable schools and other groups interested in manufacturing to see for themselves what it is like day to day working in the sector and find out more about the exciting career opportunities that exist in manufacturing in Leeds.

What will happen during the festival?
The festival involves a programme of events that run from February, starting with the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair, through to the end of the academic year at the beginning of July
Connect your organisation with local schools and young people – your future team –through career fairs, ‘meet the employer’ events and presentations in schools
Network and share best practice with other manufacturers in Leeds
Build relationships with schools, colleges, universities and apprentice training providers
Open your doors to schools and the community by hosting factory tours and making people aware of the opportunities and benefits your business offers to local people.
What does it cost to take part?
The festival is funded entirely by our sponsors, who make a financial contribution towards the costs involved in delivering events, marketing and PR.
You can become a sponsor but it doesn’t cost anything to attend or take part in Leeds Manufacturing Festival events, just some of your time and input.
Members of your team can take part in careers fairs, presentations and other events in schools
You can also host factory visits and industry placements.
The Leeds Manufacturing Festival awards are free to enter. You can nominate members of your team and invite them to attend the awards presentation evening, which is also free.
After an event we will ask for your feedback and will highlight your involvement in social media posts and news stories on the website.
