If you were to benchmark your company's apprenticeship scheme, how do you think it would perform?
Next Gen Makers, a sponsor of this year’s Leeds Manufacturing Festival (LMF 2023), is inviting you to join this introductory webinar looking at how employers can ensure apprenticeship training programmes are best in class and can help win them recognition an employer of choice.
The webinar is aimed at decision makers in engineering and manufacturing companies involved with LMF 2023 and offers an insight into best practice drawn from manufacturing and engineering firms across the UK.
Adam Tipper, managing director of Next Gen Makers, said: “We will look at how and why manufacturing and engineering firms across the UK are benchmarking their approach to apprenticeships, learning from the successes of their peers and sharing best practice to improve the way they deliver their own apprenticeship programmes.”
Next Gen Makers is a strategic partner of manufacturing employers’ organisation Make UK and has developed an accredited ‘employer
kitemark’ for engineering apprenticeships to provide quality assurance and help employers stand out from the crowd.
Adam explained: “The session will cover what the Make UK Engineering Apprenticeships: Employer Kitemark is, how your business can work towards accreditation, and how you could then leverage this to stand out as an employer of choice for aspiring engineering apprentices in your area.”
The session will include feedback from a broad range of SME and corporate engineering businesses that have achieved the kitemark, as well as those that are currently on the journey towards accreditation and ensuring their apprenticeship scheme is best in class.
All companies attending the webinar will be able to benchmark their apprenticeship programme free of charge via the Next Gen Makers online benchmarking questionnaire. This will enable you to understand what best practice looks like and how your apprenticeship programme currently compares.
